In music, there are basically two options for teaching and training students in playing an instrument; one is traditional and older, "meşk" and the other is "method". Meşk refers to the master-apprentice relationship, while method refers to the teacher-student relationship through notes. This book was prepared as a method for the four-stringed kemençe. Teaching and training with methods in Turkish music started much later than in Western music. There are two main reasons for this: the late introduction of notes to our music and the late opening of conservatories that provide Turkish music education. This method, written for the four-stringed kemençe, was prepared in order to overcome the difficulties encountered in playing the kemençe, from beginners to advanced students, and to benefit from it. This book is the first study in the field in terms of scope and content in Turkish Music as a method study. I hope that this method, which can be a source for the four-stringed kemençe, will contribute to the world of Turkish Music and pave the way for future studies.
