Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Sel Turhan graduated from the History Department of Boğaziçi University in 1997. She received her MA degree from the History Department of Boğaziçi University, Institute of Social Sciences in 2001 with the thesis “The Abolition of the Janissary Army and Its Reflections” and her PhD degree in 2009 with the thesis “Rebelling for the Old Order: Ottoman Bosnia, 1826-1836”. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford St. Antony’s College, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and Oxford Center for Islamic Studies for 15 months between 2022-2023. Fatma Sel Turhan’s scientific research interests include the Balkans in the 18th and 19th centuries, Balkan cultural history, modernization in the Balkans, religion and nationalism, wars and prisoners of war in the Balkans, Bosnian history, rebellions in the Ottoman Balkans and center-periphery relations. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Sel Turhan, who has been working in the Department of Sociology/Human and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of ITU since March 2015, is married and a mother of three children.

He was born in 1987 in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education at Istanbul University, Department of Information and Document Management. Between 2011-2016, he worked as the Document Acquisition Librarian at Koç University Suna Kıraç Library and as the Unit Librarian at the Anatolian Civilizations Research Center (ANAMED). He was in the founding team of the Bibliopera Beyoğlu Research Centers Network Project. Between 2016-2023, he worked in the Collection Development department at ITU Mustafa İnan Library. He is continuing his doctorate studies in the Information and Document Management program at Istanbul University. Since 2023, he has been working as an Editor and Layout Designer at ITU Publishing House.

He was born in 1978 in Istanbul. He entered Istanbul University, Department of Chemistry in 1995 and graduated in 1999. The same year, he started his master's degree at Istanbul University, Institute of Science, Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry Program and graduated in 2002. In 2003, he started his doctorate education at Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science, Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Program and completed it in 2009. In 2005, he was appointed as a specialist to Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry Department. In 2020, he transferred to ITU Mustafa Inan Library at his own request. In 2022, he started working as a technical education and journal specialist at ITU Publishing House. He is single and has one son.

Sevda Evciman graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Publicity in 2016. She was appointed to Istanbul Technical University in 2022. She continues her master's degree in New Media Communication and Journalism at Istanbul Gelişim University. Since 2023, she has been working as the External Relations Officer at ITU Publishing House.

Zuhal DEMİREL, graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics with a bachelor's degree, and Eskişehir Anadolu University, Vocational School, Department of Visual and Audio Techniques, Photography with an associate degree. She continues her postgraduate education at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Department of Communication Sciences. She continues her academic studies on Netlessphobia and Disaster Communication. She served as the Press - Publishing and Public Relations Manager at Muş Alparslan University. She has been working as a corporate news editor at ITU Corporate Communications Unit since 2021. She currently undertakes layout and visual design duties.
