Serving as a synthesis of extensive field research conducted within the scope of the "Music Among the Antalya Yoruks" project, this work centers on the projections of nomadic life culture on musical practices and cultural memory from an interdisciplinary perspective. Framed at the intersection of various disciplines such as ethnomusicology, anthropology, ecology, and sound technologies, the book opens up contemporary theoretical approaches—including soundscape, acoustemology, and ecomusicology—to discussion specifically within the context of Yoruk culture. The scientific articles, symposium papers, and field reports included in the book offer a broad technical inventory ranging from the tradition of boğaz çalma (throat-singing/throat-playing) to sound recording techniques on migration routes, and from ethical collaboration processes to the historical development of Yoruk associations.
