Under the TÜBİTAK 1001 “Earthquake Research” program, this work, prepared through the joint efforts of the disciplines of architecture, interior architecture, industrial design, and civil engineering, provides a scientific guide aimed at enhancing interior space safety during earthquakes. Beyond structural damage, the study emphasizes the vital importance of interior layout and design criteria in reducing risks. Based on systematic data, it aims to raise social awareness among both professional designers and individual users. The book draws attention with the potential of the algorithmic design model developed within the scope of the research project to be applied to different building types such as schools and hospitals and establishes a broad-based, scientific, and technical foundation for future interior safety research.
