As a university that has already published many publications, we attach great importance to the publication of academic books and journals.”
225 years of long-established publishing history
Muhendishane Printing House, which was founded in 1797 under the leadership of Muhendishane teacher Abdurrahman Efendi, and was established with the printing presses that are the legacy of İbrahim Müteferrika, printed more than a hundred works in its services from the year it was founded to 1906.
The publishing activities, which had slowed down during the difficult war years, gained momentum again with the establishment of our Republic, and an increasing number of publications were published each year. Since its establishment, the number of scientific publications published by ITU Publishing House is approaching 5 thousand. 7 works have already been published in ITU Publishing House, which was restructured this year and its activities gained momentum again. In addition, the publishing activities of 12 scientific journals, edited by our academicians, continue within the body of ITU Publishing House.
Thousands of published books in digital environment
Another important service performed by ITU Publishing House was the transfer of thousands of works published in the past years to digital media. To date, a total of 4,157 books have been digitized and made available to academics and students.
