Prepared under the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 "Earthquake Research" program through the collaborative work of architecture, interior architecture, industrial design, and civil engineering disciplines, this work presents a scientific guide aimed at increasing interior safety during an earthquake. Emphasizing the vital importance of interior layout and design criteria in mitigating risks beyond structural damage, the study aims to raise social awareness for both professional designers and individual users in light of systematic data. Drawing attention with the potential of the algorithmic design model developed within the scope of the research project to be applied to different building types such as schools and hospitals, the book establishes a broad-impact, scientific, and technical foundation for future interior safety research.
